We have excellent results treating TMJ patients. The TMJ can be viewed as the final and uppermost compensatory joint of the spine. The spine is a column of blocks that has to balance. The skull needs to stay level and over the center of the body for inner ear balance. Vertebral subluxations in the neck and below can lead to subluxation of the TMJ. This is why splints, shims and mouthpieces are often ineffective. The root of the problem must be addressed.
